Matsuura Machinery to donate £1,000 to Cancer Research UK – Seco’s charity of choice
Seco Tools UK’s most recent ‘Inspiration through Innovation’ manufacturing best-practice event, held at the company’s Technology Centre in Alcester towards the end of last year, attracted over 700 visitors and 50 technical partners, each exhibiting their latest products, services and technology solutions. Among the technical partners was Matsuura Machinery Ltd which ran a ‘live’ machining demonstration on its new MX-330 PC10 simultaneous five-axis machining centre, equipped with an integrated Matsuura OEM 10 pallet station autochanger and 90 tools. Matsuura Marketing Communications Officer Ian Michie said: “We were absolutely amazed with the enquiry levels, many of which have started relationships that have blossomed into new business – Craftsman Tools for one. “We were so impressed by the event that we decided to say a ‘thank you’ to Seco.” Roger Howkins, Matsuura UK’s Managing Director, said: “The £1,000 donation from Matsuura to Cancer Research UK — Seco’s charity of choice — was offered by Matsuura UK as a ‘thank you’ to Seco for its support and hospitality before, during and after the event.” Seco Tools UK is heavily involved with a number of local and national charities; the £1,000 donation from Matsuura has been matched by Seco. Matsuura will be exhibiting the multi-pallet option to our UK best-selling MX-520 5 axis machine at the 2018 Seco ‘Inspiration through Innovation’ manufacturing best-practice event in October.
