Stewarts Law supports FareShare as their Charity of the Year 2025

Each year, Stewarts Law lawyers and staff nominate a charity to support as their Charity of the Year. After a firmwide vote, FareShare was chosen for 2025.

The Stewarts Foundation will make a donation to help FareShare’s efforts in redistributing food waste across the UK. While more people are struggling to afford food for themselves and their families, the UK food industry wastes four million tonnes of perfectly good food each year. FareShare works to address both food waste and hunger by providing essential supplies to charities, including homeless shelters, breakfast clubs for schools, lunch clubs for older people, and community cafés.

Maria, FareShare’s Corporate Partnerships Officer, recently spoke at Stewarts' offices about the charity’s work and how this donation will help support its mission.

Stuart Dench, Managing Partner at Stewarts, comments:

“FareShare’s work in London, Leeds and across the UK is truly impressive. The charity is the UK’s national network of charitable food redistributors and is made up of 18 independent organisations. Together the group redistributes high quality surplus food to thousands of charities and community groups. We are delighted to support FareShare as our Charity of the Year 2025.”

Kirsty Ford, Head of Fundraising at FareShare said:

“We are so grateful to Stewarts for choosing FareShare as their charity of the year. The Stewarts Foundation’s generous donation will make a huge difference to ensuring that good quality surplus food goes to our network of over 8,000 charities across the UK, including after school and breakfast clubs, hospices, and homelessness shelters, instead of going to waste. All these groups are all working harder than ever to provide people with essential support services, bringing them together around food, strengthening communities and changing lives. Thank you for helping FareShare make the food go further.”
